Together, we can help these children.
It takes just one brick at a time.

The LEGO Christmas Land is the first ever LEGO event of its kind in the Philippines.
It seeks to involve corporate sponsors, families, and individuals to raise funds for the children in the care of UNICEF and World Vision.

Contributions entitle donors a chance to take part in the building of an entire city and Santa’s sled – all made out of LEGO. Designed by architects, this city of blocks will have its tallest building at 6 feet, as part of a complete urban masterplan, which includes an airport, a residential area, a commercial district, a gas station, school, and hospital.

One hundred percent of the proceeds will be used for these children’s basic needs, such as food, shelter, clothing, and education. This fun and fulfilling community activity is open to anybody who wishes to join. Be part of this annual event and add meaning to the season of giving.

As with any real city, every brick counts. Every contribution matters.

The LEGO Christmas Land is open to the public from Nov. 16, 2008 to Jan. 11, 2009 at the Bonifacio High Street in Taguig City.

The project is a charity initiative of Hobbes & Landes, BCD Pinpoint, LAj Marketing, Abesamis and Guerrero Architects, Salt and Light Ventures, and Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation.

Our aim is simple—to provide joy and happiness to childrennormally overlooked around Christmastime.

Helping Filipino children is a cause close to the hearts of top specialty store, Hobbes & Landesand official Lego distributor, LAj Philippines.

This year, they wanted to begin an annual Christmas event that would inspire children, together with their parents and families, to participate in initiatives to help other children.

Glancing around their office, their employees saw toys and mounds of loose LEGO bricks, and quickly entertained the idea of using what they already had a lot of to contribute to their cause. They thought of using LEGO bricks to build their vision.

Then they decided to dedicate the event to the two organizations they have supported over the years: UNICEF and WORLD VISION.

Their plans began to take shape layer after layer, bringing in one partner after another for their expertise:  BCD Pinpoint for marketing and project management, LAj Marketing as the project proponent, Abesamis and Guerrero Architects for master planning and structure design, F.A. Balauro Builders as contractor, Salt and Light Foundation as the non-profit organization partner, and Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation for the venue and its management.

After completing the planning stages, the duo approached volunteer LEGO enthusiasts from the Philippine Bricksters to broach the idea of the project and to invite them to help build the life-sized city – with its tallest building reaching 6 feet high.

It was then that they realized what a great opportunity the LEGO Christmas Land presented, being the first of its kind in the country, and given its scale and ability to help Filipino children.

Take part in this vision and join the LEGO Christmas Land project to help build children’s dreams for the future.
